1. Terms & Conditions of Sale
These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of goods sold by eyecare2eyewear.com (“We”) to the consumer (“You”).
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and you will be bound by these if we accept your order. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions then please do not continue to place any orders through this site. If you have any difficulties in reading this page please visit the Contact Us section of the website before placing your order.All goods are sold subject to availability at the price advertised at the time of placing your order. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. Nothing said by any sales person on our behalf should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any goods offered for sale by us. This is contract between you and eyeare2eyewear.com shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes.
2. Conditions of Sale
You must be 16 years of age or over to order from eyecare2eyewear.com. You must not be registered blind, partially sighted or ordering on behalf of someone under the age of 16 years.
You must be in receipt of a valid prescription given to you by a registered optician or general medical practitioner. The prescription issued must be within the last two years or within the last year for anybody in any of the following categories:
- Over the age of 70
- Suffering from diabetes
- Suffering from glaucoma or is at risk of developing glaucoma
- Is aged 40 or over and has/had a relative suffering from glaucoma (relative is termed as father, mother, sibling, child).
Before your order is processed and delivered a copy of your prescription MUST be provided.
No binding contract will exist between us until we have accepted your order.
The prescription glasses supplied by us will contain lenses manufactured to match the prescription submitted by you.
We shall not be liable for any errors made by you when entering your prescription details online. If you are unsure of your prescription, please consult a registered optician, medical practitioner or visit the Contact Us section of the website before placing your order.
3. Description of Goods, Images and Services
A description of the goods to be supplied is set out on our website. Whilst we endeavour to ensure that there are no changes to the goods, it is possible that some minor variations to the description and/or specification of the goods may arise. The actual colour of the frames may vary slightly from that shown due to the differences in VDU display characteristics
Any logos appearing dummy lenses are for illustrative purposes only and will not be on the completed glasses.
Unless you state otherwise, you will be agreeing to let us use an average pupillary distance 'PD' measurement to complete your order. You will be agreeing for us to use an average PD of 63mm for bifocal and distance single vision “SV” lenses, 61mm for intermediate SV lenses or 60 mm for near SV lenses. We strongly recommend that you consult your registered optician or medical practitioner or to obtain your PD prior to ordering.
As standard we use D28 bifocal lenses. These are 28mm wide "D" shaped segments that are positioned vertically 3mm below the centre of the lens and horizontally are centred on your pupillary distance.
We will not process orders for lenses where the
- sphere "Sph" value is +/- 8 dioptres or over, or
- cylindrical "Cyl" value is +/- 4 dioptres or over, or
- any combined Sph and Cyl power +/- 10 dioptres or over
4. Delivery, Ownership & Inspection
We will deliver the goods to the address given to us at the time you made your order. We will aim to deliver your goods within 28 days of receipt and acceptance of your order unless there are unforeseen circumstances beyond our control
Ownership of the goods will pass to you the customer once you have received your goods.
If for any reason (not due to our fault) you do not accept delivery of any of the goods in accordance with this paragraph then we may charge you an additional fee to cover any direct costs incurred by us as a result (including insurance, delivery, storage or similar charges).
When you receive your prescription glasses, please inspect them thoroughly. Check your prescription matches the enclosed prescription statement as ordered. In the unlikely event of any discrepancy, please do not use the spectacles and immediately notify us by visiting the Contact Us section of the website.
We shall at our own discretion, make good any non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods, or refund to you the amount you paid for the goods in question provided that you inform us within 7 days starting on the date the goods are dispatched for delivery which will be recorded on the receipt enclosed. NOTHING IN THIS CLAUSE AFFECTS YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
5. Ordering
If an error is discovered in the price of the goods that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that you order an item and the price published on the site is incorrect for any reason, we will contact you to let you know the correct price and ask you whether you still wish us to fulfil your order at this price. We shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product which was advertised at an incorrect price. We shall give you the option of confirming the order at the correct price or if you so choose, to cancel the order altogether. If you cancel and have already paid for the goods in the circumstances described in this clause, we shall refund the full amount in accordance with these Terms and conditions.
6. Price & Payment
The price payable is for the goods you order plus any charges for carriage and insurance are as set out in our website.
Unless we agree otherwise, we must receive payment for the total cost of the goods you order plus any applicable charges for carriage and insurance, before your order can be accepted.
Payments to us must be made in Pounds Sterling at the time of ordering.
7. Rights to Cancel or Transfer this Contract & Refunds
Your Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel your contract with us at any time within 7 days from the date you receive your conformation e-mail that your order has been placed. Such notice may be given to us by visiting the Contact Us section of the website and using any one of the communication options listed. This right does not apply at any time after we have started to customise any materials in accordance with your requirements or after we have started to perform any of the services.
We will refund you the full cost of the frame upon receipt of the returned goods in their original condition.
We cannot offer any refund on the cost of the lenses as they are customised items
If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to our contact address at your own cost and risk. If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at our contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
Once we have received notification that you are cancelling your contract, any refunds will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 28 days of receipt of your returned goods provided that they are received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. If you do not return the goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
The cost of carriage and insurance is non refundable.
Our Right to Cancel:
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if we:
- have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered;
- do not deliver to your area
- one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.
If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 28 days of your order.
We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Your Right to Transfer:
This contract is personal to you. Nobody other than you will be able to benefit from this contract. You may not transfer your rights or the benefit of any of the provisions of this contract to any other person without our prior written permission.
Our right to transfer:
We reserve the right to subcontract part or all of the order to any person or company.
8. Returns Policy:
The buyer shall have the right to return the goods to eyecare2eyewear.com within a period of 14 days starting on the date the goods are dispatched for delivery which will be recorded on the receipt enclosed. The goods must be in a totally undamaged and unmarked condition. We cannot refund or replace any glasses due to loss, incorrect prescription information being provided or wrong choice of frame. This return policy will only apply once and repeat returns are not permitted. Costs and risks in relation to the returned goods are the responsibility of the buyer. When returning goods the Buyer will be liable for all the shipping costs incurred, both incoming and outgoing.
9. Try @ Home:
A fee of £2.50 per frame (up to a maximum of 3) excluding delivery will be charged to your credit/debit card. A prepaid envelope is supplied for you to return the frames once you have tried them on with no obligation to purchase. All we request is that you return the trial frames in their original condition and packaging within 7 days starting from the date the goods have been dispatched for delivery as stated on your receipt. Failure to do will result in full costs as listed on the website being charged to your credit/debit card.
10. Resale of Goods:
We will only supply goods on the understanding they are intended for the purchaser and are not to be resold to the public.
11. Your Personal Data:
We and any of our subcontractors will fully comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 in relation to personal data received from you in relation to this contract and shall only process personal data received from you where necessary to fulfil our obligations under this contract.
We reserve the right to record any telephone calls that you make to our customer helpline.
We require your web browser to accept the use of cookies in order to temporarily store information regarding your order and configuration details only.
12. Limitation of our Liability to you:
This section applies only to the extent permitted by law. We do not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss of damage to property and/or loss from claims of third parties arising out of the use of this site or for any products or services purchased from eyecare2eyewear.com.
We do not accept liability for any errors and omissions and reserve the right to change information, prices, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services.

You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy policy.
